Like many foods, pumpkins lend themselves to a wide range of uses. Of course, everyone loves dessert and pumpkin pie is particularly popular during the holiday season. I like pumpkin pie but I actually prefer pumpkin bread.

When my kids were young we always observed the tradition of carving pumpkins at Halloween. It was a fun activity and Beth actually did some very creative carvings. Mine were always scary monster type faces.
