Spring Crocus

Today was the first day of weather warm enough to begin some preliminary work in the garden. I raked away much of the debris left from the many storms of this past winter and I planted a few potatoes.

The First Crocus of Spring is an ode I wrote last year.

A nice link to last years early flowers, which reminds you though of how the years fly by really fast.
Just as well your new photos are that lovely, bright and colourful you can almost feel the spring sunshine and cheer up again!

    1. Yes, and today was another gorgeous spring day. I have prepared the patch where the heirloom asparagus will go, just like the other patch where I planted the crowns of asparagus last year. I also see treviso sprouting through the mulch and even a bit of spinach! Amazing that they survived this extremely harsh winter. I have my doubts that the marjoram and rosemary did as well. We shall see.
