Just for fun.
Regular readers of this blog know that I was an avid fan of the music group known as the Grateful Dead. For many years, they were the background music to my life.
JUNE 14, 1991–Twenty-three years ago today, the group performed a show and here is the link to a Youtube video that comes from “the vault” of Grateful Dead music archives. You can watch all 3 hours and 43 minutes of this show! Apologies to students in China. I know you can’t see YouTube videos. Sorry.
This video is a fine presentation of the band’s talent featuring a special guest appearance with Bruce Hornsby. Hornsby (seen with the accordion) played with the boys for a short period after Brent Mydland died. Eventually, the group chose Vince Welnick (seen during this show playing the 88’s and organ) as their final keyboard player. The show was a standard two-set affair with one encore. It looks like everyone had fun!
